Services We Offer

We have different dental services to offer you.

Here are some of our dental services available.

Cosmetic Dentistry
A great smile goes a long way to enhancing the way you look, not to mention added confidence. Dr. Driscoll provides a full range of cosmetic dentistry services. Tooth whitening gets rid of those stains and brightens your teeth. Bonding or veneers can fix chipped, broken, cracked, stained, or have spaces between your teeth. Enamel shaping improves the appearance of teeth by removing or contouring enamel.

Teeth that are crowded, crooked or do not properly align might need braces, no matter what your age—we can refer you to an orthodontist. Missing a tooth or more? A crown covers a tooth and restores it to its normal shape and size or for missing teeth, a bridge will give you natural looking artificial teeth. If you need a combination of these treatments to attain the bright and straight smile that you desire, start with a expert consultation with Dr. Driscoll for the best cosmetic dentistry options for you.

General Dentistry
Dr. Driscoll' dental practice is devoted to general and family dentistry. As your primary care provider, Dr. Driscoll is responsible for the general diagnosis, treatment, management and overall coordination of services related to the oral health needs for patients of all ages—for everyone in your entire family. Dr. Driscoll is trained on all dental procedures and can consult with you for the best course of treatment for your dental needs.

Dental Implants
A dental implant is an option if you don’t want to wear a crown or a conventional bridge because of missing teeth. Dr. Driscoll can provide you with a consultation to determine if implant dentistry is right for you. An implant is made from metal, called titanium that is secured into and eventually fuse with your jawbone, anchoring an artificial tooth or bridge.

Porcelain Veneers
Natural looking and long lasting porcelain veneers—one of cosmetic dentistry’s more recent developments offered by Dr. Driscoll are wafer-thin shells of porcelain that can be bonded onto the front side of teeth to improve the teeth’s appearance. Porcelain veneers are ideal for use on teeth that are stained or discolored, worn, chipped, misaligned or as an alternative to orthodontic treatment.

Crowns & Brides
Should you have a tooth that is discolored, badly shaped, weak or broken, you may need a crown to cover and restore it to its normal shape and size—and it looks like a natural tooth. Dr. Driscoll also uses a crown to cover a dental implant, a large filling or to attach a bridge.

If you're missing one or more teeth, you’ll notice a difference in chewing and speaking—in addition to the less-than-ideal appearance. Dr. Driscoll can correct this with a bridge that helps maintain the shape of your face, as well as alleviating the stress in your bite with artificial replacement teeth. The material can be made from gold, alloys, porcelain or a combination. Depending on the support of surrounding teeth, your dentist can recommend different types of bridges. A bridge can be bonded onto other teeth—this type of bridge is sometimes called a fixed partial denture which can only be removed by at our dental office. You could be a candidate for a removable bridge, which you can take out and clean yourself. Finally, if Dr. Driscoll recommends an implant bridge, artificial teeth will be attached directly to the jaw or under the gum tissue.

Dental Bonding
Bonding in dentistry can mean two things. First, bonding can restore chipped, broken or decaying teeth, reshape or whiten your smile or fill in gaps between teeth. The other type of bonding refers to how bridges, orthodontic appliance or filling are attached to teeth.

In cosmetic dentistry, the bonding procedure begins when a composite resin filling is first placed on teeth. Then Dr. Driscoll will sculpt, color and shape it. A high intensity light is finally used to harden the material and the surface is finely polished to achieve the results you are looking for—a natural bright appearance that blends with the and improves your smile.

Teeth Whitening
Over time, teeth may darken or become discolored over time from smoking, coffee, tea or certain fruits that can stain teeth. Tooth whitening is a bleaching process that reverses discolorations of the enamel to create a whiter, brighter smile. Once the exact cause of your tooth discoloration is established, we will recommend a whitening regime to meet your specific situation.

Complete & Partial Dentures
If you’ve lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, a viable option is a complete denture that allows you to appear and function in a normal manner. An immediate complete denture is custom made and placed in the patient’s mouth after the remaining teeth are removed. This denture can be worn while tissues are healing which may take several months. Typically, within six months, this denture will require relining or be completely remade as gums will shrink while healing.

If you have healthy teeth left, removable partial dentures should be considered. A partial denture consists of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases, which are connected by metal framework. Removable partial dentures attach to your natural teeth with metal clasps or devices called precision attachments which are nearly invisible. Crowns on your natural teeth that will be used for support may improve the fit of a removable partial denture and they are usually required with attachments.
